Marie’s interest in visual art began in her early 20’s, while discovering the work of masters such as Egon Schiele, Klimt, Matisse, just to name a few. 

Today, she has immersed herself in contemporary art, more specifically contemporary African art. 

Marie works closely with some of the leading artists within the African contemporary art space, such as Amoako Boafo. She is dedicated to changing the narrative of historically marginalised and exploited artists while contributing to the burgeoning African art ecosystem and community.
